Spray foam insulation in Menifee CA - attic leaks fixed before the foam goes on

Upstairs rooms that won't stay cool, ducts sitting in a hot attic? We fix the leaks first, then spray foam where it belongs.

Cream-colored spray foam fills the spaces between exposed wooden rafters.

I do every estimate in person

I come out and look at the job myself, so the person pricing it has actually been up in your attic. You hear what I saw straight from me, not from a salesperson reading a script.

In business since 2017

Nine years in, we're best known for doing attics in the right order, with problems fixed and leaks sealed before insulation goes in. Most of our calls are rooms that won't stay comfortable and older houses being fixed up.

Fully licensed and insured

We're fully licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. When you're ready, call (951) 430-8005 or send the form, and I'll set a time to come look.

Is spray foam right for your Menifee house?

Spray foam insulation is foam sprayed in place, on the underside of the roof deck or into walls, where it insulates and closes air gaps at the same time. It helps Menifee homes with hot upstairs rooms, a room over the garage that won't cool down, or ducts in the attic.

Three things decide the job: where the foam goes, which foam we use and what has to be fixed before anyone sprays. Those same three move the price, along with how much roof or wall we're covering and whether old insulation comes out first. The schedule turns on that prep, any permit and how long the foam maker says your household stays out afterward. I'll lay all of it out in a written scope with the estimate.

Before I come out, it helps to know where your furnace or AC and the ducts sit, whether a new roof is coming and whether anyone in the house has health concerns about the foam. Those answers change which foam fits, when we can schedule and whether foam is worth doing at all. I'd rather tell you a job isn't worth doing than sell you one that isn't, so I ask up front.

How we do spray foam insulation

Fix the problems before we spray

Foam seals up whatever's behind it, so a roof leak, bad wiring or old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings has to be dealt with first. Burying those under new foam just costs you twice. We pull out what has to go, seal the gaps around can lights, pipes and the attic hatch, and keep eave vents clear wherever the attic still breathes. Then we spray, and the foam isn't fighting a draft or hiding a problem.

Your ducts decide where foam goes

Where your ducts run usually decides where foam belongs, and that's where my HVAC years come in. When the system sits in the attic, foam on the underside of the roof deck brings the ducts inside the insulated part of the house, so air leaking from them still heats or cools your rooms. A sealed attic also needs a way to get rid of moisture, which we settle first. Foam costs more, so with no ducts up there, sealing the gaps and topping up with blown-in insulation, loose fill blown through a hose, usually wins as regular attic insulation work.

Permits and new roofs in Menifee

The City of Menifee's Building and Safety Department issues building permits in the city. Depending on your address, the county may cover it instead, so we find out which office is yours, ask what your job needs and pull the permit when one is required. If you're planning a new roof, tell me early, because a city handout says a reroof in Menifee has to meet the state energy code for climate zone 10, and we can plan the foam around that work. We work in Menifee and the cities around it across this part of Riverside County.

What happens after you call us

  1. Visit and written estimate

Call (951) 430-8005 or send the form, and I'll set a time to come out. I look at the attic, walls or crawl space, point out what has to be fixed first and send you a written scope with the estimate.

  2. Permit, prep and planning

Once you say go, we sort out the permit with the right office and handle the repairs and sealing that come first. We also confirm the spray day, so you can plan where your household and pets will stay.

  3. Spraying and the walk-through

Our installers do the spraying, with me or a lead installer running the job, and only the crew in protective gear is inside while the foam goes on. Once the re-entry time is up, we walk you through what we did.

Spray foam questions from Menifee homeowners

Should I get open-cell or closed-cell spray foam for my attic?

Choose closed-cell foam, the dense kind, if you want it to control moisture as well as insulate, because it can serve as the layer that slows moisture. Open-cell foam lets vapor through and can't do that. Some foams also need a covering such as a coating or drywall, depending on the product or code, so we check that for yours.

How long until we can go back in after spray foam?

You, the kids and the pets stay out until the foam maker's re-entry time is up, and some makers say 24 hours for high-pressure foam. It varies, so we tell you the product and its time before you book a place to stay. If anyone has asthma, allergies, skin conditions or a past isocyanate reaction, read the product information first, since another option may suit you better.

How much does spray foam insulation cost in Menifee?

Adding or replacing insulation around the Riverside-San Bernardino metro usually costs about $1,500 to $5,000 per job, and that's the metro range for insulation work in general, not our price. Foam usually runs higher than loose fill, and the area covered and the repairs needed first move it most. My on-site estimate gives you the number for your house.

Who is allowed to install spray foam insulation in Menifee?

A contractor licensed by the state licensing board in the C-2 insulation class, which covers installing any insulation for temperature or sound control. The city also requires a City of Menifee business license for contractors doing any work there. Even a job under $1,000 needs a licensed contractor if it needs any kind of permit or the person hires help.
